Addison Park District Preschool Program
Discover what our preschool has to offer at one of our Preschool Open Houses. Join us at either location on Thursday, May 10 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. and/or again on Thursday, August 23 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Bring your little one to meet the teachers, learn about our curriculum, see the rooms, and have your preschool-age child experience a little of what our program offers.
Preschool registration for ages 2 ½ - 4 years is accepted through September 1, 2012.
Summer preschool - Community & Centennial Rec Centers
Does your child need a refresher before next year's preschool or kindergarten class? Summer Preschool is from June 11 – August 8, 2013. This 9-week program is from 9:15 – 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday OR Monday and Wednesday, depending on your child’s age. Children must be between 2½ - 4 years old and of class age by September 1, 2012.
There will be no preschool July 1 - 4, 2013.
2½ - 3 year old Preschool – Community Rec. Center
This program provides an opportunity for 2 ½ - 3 year olds to enhance their social, physical and creative development. 2 ½ - 3 year old preschoolers will be introduced to letters and number association, as well as learning about the calendar and the seasons. There is also a strong emphasis on development of socialization skills and becoming comfortable in a classroom environment. Fine motor skills and listening skills will continue to progress in this class through crafts and songs. Children must be 2 ½ years old by September 1, 2012 with a birth date on or before March 1, 2010. Pull-ups are allowed. You are invited to attend one of our open houses to meet the teachers and learn more about this program.
3 year old Preschool – Community & Centennial Rec Centers
Children will grow socially and emotionally through creative art, activities, songs and cooperation. 3 year old preschool emphasizes color recognition, shapes, letters, numbers, social play, the calendar, weather, days of the week and physical coordination. Children must be 3 years old on or before September 1, 2012. Pull-ups are allowed. You are invited to attend one of our open houses to meet the teachers and learn more about this program.
4 year old Preschool – Community & Centennial Rec Centers
Prepare your child for kindergarten! Emphasis is on positive self images and preparation for future learning. Structured and unstructured activities will prepare your child socially, emotionally and physically. Children will begin writing their names and learning letter sounds. Children must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2012. You are invited to attend one of our open houses to meet the teachers and learn more about this program.
Kids Korner – Centennial Rec Center
If you work full time and have a child enrolled in preschool, then this is a great option for you! Kids will enjoy games, story time, movies, outside activities, gym play and more!
Note: Bring a lunch and a drink each day. This program follows the APD preschool calendar, not School District #4. A five-day option is available for additional savings!
