POLAR EXPRESS: Sunday, December 2 = SOLD OUT!
Experience the magic of the classic children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg when the Metra Train transformed with the season departs for the “North Pole.” Everyone will enjoy chocolate milk and cookies while listening to the story. Watch the joy on the children’s faces as we stop at the North Pole to pick up Santa Claus! Space is limited to those who truly believe in the spirit of Christmas. This holiday tradition is a favorite for many families and tickets sell quickly. Space fills up quickly so don’t wait!
BREAKFAST WITH SANTA: Sunday, December 9
He’s making a list and checking it twice – have breakfast with Santa to tell him that you've been nice! Children of all ages are invited to this holiday celebration featuring reindeer games and crafts with breakfast. Each child will have an opportunity to sit on Santa’s lap to share their wish list. Don’t forget to bring a camera to capture the moment. Tickets will not be available at the door – pre-registration is required.
SLEDDING SOCIALS: Thursday Dec. 27 & Feb. 7
Have a blast sledding down the snow hill in Community Park! Bring your own sled and a few friends for a few hours of fun! Hot chocolate will be available to purchase for 75¢. If you get cold, come inside and warm up by watching a snow-themed movie on the big screen. Fun for the entire family! This event is weather-dependent and will be cancelled if there is not enough snow.
WINTERFEST: Sunday, January 20, 2013
Join us for this annual WINTERFEST event at Community Park. Enjoy the snow and have fun participating in outdoor games such as snow golf, sledding, and snow volleyball. There will also be a marshmallow roasting station for s’mores. Warm up inside Community Rec Center with some hot chocolate and food. We will have a cookie decorating station and craft stations for the kids. Admission to the event is free; however some of the activities may have a small fee. This is a day for the whole family to enjoy!
DADDY DAUGHTER DATE NIGHT: Friday, Feb. 1
Twist the night away with your dad! You'll enjoy a festive evening at Community Rec Center which includes food and dancing with the DJ spinning your favorite tunes. Each family will receive a special gift and complimentary photo to remember this special occasion. Dress your best for this fun-filled night out!
MOM N’ SON NIGHT: Friday, March 1
Moms and sons - enjoy each other's company and take part in fun activities during this event at Community Rec Center. Work as a team and play fun games, relays and contests. Enjoy pizza together at the start of the event. This night is sure to create special memories for both of you. All participants will receive a special keepsake photo.
