Registrar / Front Desk Attendant

The Registrar, Front Desk Attendant, Office Clerk functions as the “first impression” of the Addison Park District to the public. This key position performs varied duties assisting all departments to service the needs of the general public in a face paced environment

Responsibilities & Duties


  • Greet the public in a courteous and respectful manner both in person and via telephone
  • Register patrons for recreation programs, take payment and provide receipts for all transactions
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures and policies
  • Assist patrons by answering telephones in a timely manner
  • Requires knowledge of Club Fitness membership programs and services
  • Requires knowledge of Senior Club membership programs and services
  • Requires knowledge of Links & Tees programs and services at each facility
  • Ability to proficiently operate office equipment including fax, desktop computer, program registration software, photo ID Printer and AllWorx telephone system
  • Proficiency with VSI V3.1 RecTrac Registration Software
  • Observe all safety regulations in compliance with safety manual operation
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail
  • Prepare and balance daily cash journal reports with 100% accuracy and report all discrepancies as applicable
  • Assist in maintaining adequate inventory of facility supplies, forms, and materials
  • Establish good working relationships with staff, patrons, the community and other governmental agencies within the Village of Addison
  • Report for your shift promptly and ready to engage in work
  • Keep all work areas clean and well organized
  • Assist in facility general cleaning and organization when necessary
  • Assist in general office and administrative needs as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Aptitude to use a computer for e-mail, and accessing the internet

Ability to cooperate with and interpret Park District philosophies in relation to  governmental, public and private groups or agencies, and to the general public

Capacity to maintain positive and effective working relationships with supervisors and co-workers

Capacity to utilize effective time management skills and be able to work under the stress of multiple deadlines, requests from others and interruptions, with accuracy

 Ability to work in a team atmosphere, promoting positive work relations with both internal and external customers

Capacity to maintain self-control and composure in difficult situations




Pay Range



19 hours week includes nights and weekends.
