Wood Dale – Addison Sharks Swim Team

The season has ended for the 2024 year.  Thank you to everyone who participated.  For information about the 2024 season, please see below.  

The Swim Team is open to any age group 5 years through high school. If you can swim one lap of the pool you can join! The Swim Team meets for eight-weeks, and all swimmers participate in weekly practices and several home and away meets. The Wood Dale-Addison Swim Team complies with the DuPage Swim and Dive Conference regulations.

Registration Information

Registration begins April 1st.  Register online at wdparks.org or in-person at the Wood Dale Park District Recreation Complex.  Birth certificates are required for new swimmers.  The front desk staff will make a copy.  The mandatory parent information meeting is May 22nd at 7:00 p.m.  Refunds will not be given after June 3rd.  A complimentary Beach Waterpark pool pass is available for each registered swimmer.  The registration code is 3904AW.

Registration Fees

Program Fee: $185

*Refundable Volunteer Deposit: $70 per family

*Refundable volunteer deposit will be collected separately at Parent Information Night.

Parent Information Night

Wednesday, May 22nd, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Parent Information Night will educate families about volunteering, meets, and other important information related to Swim Team.

Want to learn more before registering?

Members of the Parents’ Club will be available to discuss the Swim Team, volunteer requirements, and any other questions you may have in-person at Wood Dale Park District Recreation Complex on Wednesday, April 10th, 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday, April 27th, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Trial Week: May 28th – May 31st, 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Trial Week allows swimmers to check out the Swim Team and determine if it is something in which they would like to participate.  Swimmers must be registered to participate in Trial Week.

Practices Start the Week of June 3

Practices will be held at Beach Water Park.  The first week of practice will take place between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. due to school still being in session.  After the first week, practices will be held Monday – Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.  There will be different time slots for each age group.  Time slots and a schedule will be provided after registration when numbers in each age group are determined.
