Youth Basketball League GRADES Pre-K-2nd
Our Winter Youth Basketball league is here. Lower rims and smaller basketballs ensure success for every participant. League focuses on skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun. Co-ed teams will be created by Park District staff.
Pk (4)/K (6) – This program will utilize portable basketball hoops at 6ft and a smaller basketball to ensure success. Teams will have 1 practice during the week and games on Saturday mornings.
1st/2nd Grade – This program will utilize basketball hoops at 8.5 ft and a smaller basketball to ensure success. Teams will have 1-2 practice during the week and games on Saturday mornings. The 1st/2nd grade league will participate in the inter-village league. We will play other surrounding park districts.
3rd/4th Grade – This program will utilize basketball hoops at 10ft and a smaller basketball to ensure success. Teams will have 1-2 practices during the week and games on Saturday mornings.
The deadline to register is 11/30.
Games will be played on Saturdays at Army Trail School Gym in the mornings. Player requests are not guaranteed. Volunteer coaches are needed! Please contact Juan Montes if you are interested in coaching a team at 630-656-6202. Registration opens in October. Practices start Week of January 6, 2025. Games will be on Saturdays starting January 13, 2025.
(PK/K League) Season runs from January – March.
