Youth Basketball League GRADES Pre-K-2nd
Our Winter Youth Basketball league is here. Lower rims and smaller basketballs ensure success for every participant. League focuses on skill development, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fun. Co-ed teams will be created by Park District staff.
Pk (4)/K (6) – This program will utilize portable basketball hoops at 6ft and a smaller basketball to ensure success. Teams will have 1 practice during the week and games on Saturday mornings.
1st/2nd Grade – This program will utilize basketball hoops at 8.5 ft and a smaller basketball to ensure success. Teams will have 1-2 practice during the week and games on Saturday mornings. The 1st/2nd grade league will participate in the inter-village league. We will play other surrounding park districts.
3rd/4th Grade – This program will utilize basketball hoops at 10ft and a smaller basketball to ensure success. Teams will have 1-2 practices during the week and games on Saturday mornings.
The deadline to register is 11/30.
Games will be played on Saturdays. Player requests are not guaranteed. Volunteer coaches are needed! Please contact Larry Krawetz if you are interested in coaching a team at lkrawetz@addisonparks.org. Practices start Week of January 6, 2025. Games will be on Saturdays starting January 13, 2025.
(PK/K League) Season runs from January – March.
